Credited internships and internship courses are carefully assigned, structured, and monitored to provide the most appropriate and valuable experience for each student. In many majors, internships are an integral part of a course of study, and the academic credit earned is required for completion of the degree.
The undergraduate departments for Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Packaging Design, Textile/Surface Design, and Toy Design require completion of specific internship courses.
In other situations, you may take an internship on a supplemental-credit basis. All students receive an email at the beginning of each semester with detailed internship application instructions. We encourage you to continually explore career opportunities, and to apply for a credited-internship after speaking with a Career and Internship Services counselor.
